In what was a rigourous tendering exercise, Professor Adrian Davis of the Institute of Hearing Research, conducted a pilot study to evaluate the suitability of a number of private sector companies on matters such as, geographical coverage, quality of facilities and service, and ability to deliver and work in partnership with Audiologists in the NHS.
On 17th September 2003, the Ultravox Group were advised that they had been awarded the NHS Contract for the Supply of Hearing Aid Services.
This prestigious award has seen an immediate improvement in the services available for tens of thousands of NHS patients, who are now able to obtain digital hearing aids through our extensive network of dedicated high street Hearing Aid Centres.
